FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- From the start Lisa Koll wanted to run "her race" in the 3,000-meter run at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday. Koll, from Fort Dodge, had won the 5,000 meters Friday night. Her chief challenger, Angela Bizzarri of Illinois had not run the 5,000. Koll ran it her way only to be edged at the finish by Bizzarri, the defending NCAA Cross Country champion, for the 3,000 crown. Bizzari finished in 8:57.40m just ahead of Koll, who cross the line in 8:57.52.
