    2010-2011 Roster/Starting Lineup

Okay, now that we've seen the news we were all expecting what does our roster look like for next year and what does everyone think the starting lineup will be?

    G - Garrett
    G - Colvin
    G - Christopherson
    G - Boozer
    G - Buckley
    G - Palo
    G - Oliver
    G - Phillips
    F - Vanderbeiken
    F - Dorr
    F - Eijm
    C - Hamilton
    C - Dendy
    C - Railey

    ?? - Clyburn

From that I see a heavily guard oriented team.

    PG - Garrett / Buckley / Palo
    PG - Colvin / Phillips
    SG - Christopherson / Eijm
    F - Dendy / Vanderbeiken
    C - Hamilton / Railey

Unless Eijm turns out to be a freak athlete that can come in right away and play, I don't see how we aren't running a 3 guard set next year.

We are going to get killed next season in the Big 12.

I think you have to consider that some players might not be back other than CB and MG. With our past it is very realistic.

    Re: 2010-2011 Roster/Starting Lineup

Colvin would have to improve quite a bit to start at the 2. Hopefully Phillips lives up to the hype at takes that sport. I'm also hoping a juco big man appears so Hamilton or most likely Dendy can come off the bench. As much as those guys improved they never had to be the man in there and usually what we got out of that scoring wise was a bonus.

Well, Palo, Oliver, and Dorr are barely going to play, except garbage minutes.
Unless Railey is seriously ready to play in the Big 12, I see him redshirting, if for nothing else but getting everybody else minutes.

I see our starting 5 as:
    PG - Garrett
    PG - Colvin
    SG - Christopherson
    F - Vanderbeken
    C - Hamilton

Dendy is a great athlete, but he's just not big enough to bang down low yet. VB provides a greater 3-pt threat than any of our other big guys, so I think he starts just for the sake of offensive balance and spreading the floor, since we're going to need to feed the ball to Ham to get points early on.

    1st guys off the bench:
    PG - Buckley
    SG - Boozer
    3G - Phillips
    F - Ejim
    C - Dendy

If the Juco's pan out well, I think they can surpass either SC or VB in the starting lineup.

    Re: 2010-2011 Roster/Starting Lineup

    I bet it's:
    1-DG
    2-Phillips or Colvin
    3-Scotty
    4-Dendy
    5-Hamilton
With Colvin or Phillips as the sixth man and Vanderbeken, Boozer, Juco Wing, and Oliver/Ejim that gets the playing time early on. After that it's an 8 or 9 man rotation.

I think we'll finish with more than 4 wins in the Big XII, too.

garrett should be moved to the 3. he kills the offense as a pg, cause he can't shoot. but he'd be an incredibly skilled 3.

presumably the new juco can play point.

What progress has been made by Oliver? What are the reports from those with inside information? Strength, skills, basketball I.Q.?

With Brackins and Gilstrap now gone, what are the chances we land both Clyburn and Wilkins?

    Re: 2010-2011 Roster/Starting Lineup

    1. We desparately need a guard that can create plays off the dribble with the threat of a mid-range jumper.

    2. Dendy needs to mature his game and be much more consistent.

    3. PG/SG absolutely need to be a threat to hit wide open 3 pointers. Without that threat it's bottom of the barrell.

    4. We need a Juco player to step in at SF to help out with our depth (or lack thereof) at the 3/4/5 spots.

There hasn't been much posted about him. I don't have any inside information, but from what I can tell from what's been posted here, he's long and athletic, and really quick. But he hasn't figured out the work ethic needed to be a D1 bball player yet.
