could McDermott make a call to Marcus Fizer, Stevie Johnson

on how to rebound the ball against taller teams

Johnson was way small but yet was a heck of a rebounder

Fizer was smaller than most bigs but yet knew how to rebound very well as well

it just seems like they have a better technique to go up and get the ball

No offense, but do you think it might have a little something to do with fact that Fiser was a manchild, and Stevie had like a 44 in vert.

McDermott needs to recruit a proven center

Justin Hamilton was way way soft tonite against Texas, that proves why he was not recruited by any other major program

Then we have this guy coming in Jordan Railey

He had no other offers from major programs

what did McDermott see in this guy that deserve an offer

and plus now with AT&T they have that new ability to send basketball ability through the phone.

Im guessing being a big 12 bball coach whatever fizer would say is going to be something Mcd know.

I don't get threads like these. Are Marcus Fizer, Stevie Johnson, and Denae Stuckey good coaches?

You want an undersized guy that can track down the ball under the hoop and put it in against much taller competition...start by calling Kenny Pratt.

We outrebounded Texas last time we played them and KSU both times we played them.

Boards hurt us tonight, but to get those two teams 3 out of 4 games speaks volumes.

I didn't know a person's vertical couldn't be improved, I also didn't know people can't gain weight, toughness, and strength. Maybe I'm confused though..maybe all of those things are impossible to do.

Fizer and Johnson were both very physical players who were able to out muscle their opponents. That goes a long ways. No one on the current team fits that bill.

Now he was hands down baddd ***. I'll give you that one. He had no business coming away with the loose balls that he did. People were scared of him, I think.

I really hope he is staying out of trouble these days. Or do we still need to be afraid of him for all the wrong reasons? Hope no news is good news.
