For starters, she maintained a 4.0 GPA while getting her undergraduate degree in finance in just three years, and will receive her master’s degree in accounting this May
While still being a D1 athlete. Plus the community service she's put in. Bravo Shellie!

Why didn't she get more PT in her career? She was Miss basketball in Iowa wasn't she? So obviously she has some skills.

I think Bill's strategy has always been to not play the players that give him the best chance to win.

Oviously she could not crack the starting line up behind Lacey, Ezell, and Medders. My question was why? Was she simply not good enough? Or was there something else? I know BF got mad a AF for not having the Basketball only mindset.

How about we just celebrate a great Cyclone. I swear, everything that goes on this board becomes some sort of critique of players, coaches, other posters..

Obviously the man has no idea what he is doing. I mean for crying out loud he is taking low recruited talent and consistently being one of THE teams in the Big 12. Good Lord we need to find someone else.

    I am being facetious.

She was tentative and didn't like to shoot. Bill mentioned a couple of years ago that he told her to shoot more and with all the points she had in school he knows she can shoot.

It always seemed like she was comfortable in her role. She is a great Cyclone either way.

It seems to me, as someone who has been to most of the coach lunch events on campus and listened to the radio show half the time, that there are 3 biggies that the coaches look at for playing time. A) do they know where they're supposed to be on defense. B) do they have the speed to be where they should be on defense. C) are they willing/able to take high-percentage shots. I think SM and AF didn't make the cut on B, and assume GL missed the cut on C. I would have loved to see the seniors get playing time against some of the slower teams in the league, but I'm sure the strategy is to keep a predictable rotation based on what will best win games at The Dance. Like in most sports, speed becomes a little more important every year.
We sure will miss them next year!
