Toughest Opposing Player to Play in Hilton?

The dunk thread started me thinking about who have been the toughest opposing players who have played in Hilton...

    Not In any particular order:
    -Mitch Richmond
    -Wayman Tisdale
    -Scott Skiles
Michigan State came to Hilton shortly after Skiles was picked up for DUI. Fans called him jailbird and waved handcuffs at him when he shot free throws. It didn't bother him 1 bit. That same year they beat the high powered Michigan team that we beat to go the the Sweet 16. During that game Skiles scored a bucket, looked at Michigan guard Antoine Joubert and said, "Show me what you got, fat boy!"

Tisdale. He repeatedly owned our butts. Unstoppable player.

Well here goes my 1000th post...

How about Hollis Price from Okalahoma? That kid always seemed to light us up whenever we played them and I'm pretty sure he had some big games in Hilton where he was lights out.

A guy named Curry from OU came in and hit us up for 30 something about 10 years ago. The dude was ice and he hit the game winner for them. He looked like the Candy man. Dude was scary looking.

Also the Henson Brothers from K-State

I always thought that Stacy King was the best player I ever saw at Hilton. He was just unstoppable.

I always thought Boschee sucked against us...maybe my memory is getting bad. Any stats on him vs. us?

I disagree with Boschee....he was horrible, when we went down there once, we beat them because he was 2-17 shooting and wouldn't let KU get their offense going.

Re: Toughest Opposing Player to Play in Hilton?

I remember watching Collison on ESPN in the '03 game I believe just light up the Clones from both inside and out....

didn't Ray Thompson (EIU) go on a rampage in Hilton ?

I also recall that collectively, as a team, the '97 KU team defense was stifling...... lock down man2man that made it hard for Dedric to get a shot of or Jacy to run the "O"....

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
