Over or under 5,000 season tickets sold next year?

With the announcement of Mac returning will their be 5,000 season tickets sold next season? I say the under. I was talking to a lot of fans around me after the A&M game and they were not renewing if Mac was back.

Good job Pollard, if this is about money, you are about to lose a lot more next year in ticket revenue then you would have buying out Mac's contract.

LOL...it will be well over 5k. You are a fool to think otherwise.

    I'm guessing around 8k...maybe more.

Tickets sold may be less, but it will give people who normally wouldn't have great seats a chance at them.

Don't think you have to worry much about donations as football donations should be up and easily offset the difference.

If you don't renew that is your loss.

Re: Over or under 5,000 season tickets sold next year?

Someone had a stat on this. I think the last few years starting in 2004 have gone from the mid 7000s peaking above 10,000 in maybe 2008 to mid 9000s currently. So the under is highly unlikely. The better over/under is probably 7500...

We hit 10k I think 3 years ago, and in 09 and 10 we were at about 9600 unless I'm wrong. It was in a thread a few weeks ago.

If this is correct, putting the o/u at anything under 7000 is completely stupid. We should be around 8k for sure.

A fool huh, in my section alone there were around 20 people who were not renewing. Do you attend the games? There was may 5K there for the Nebraska game.

Once the smoke settles, and it comes time to renew, I bet at least half of those 20 people who say now they wont renew will renew. Even I have been saying I wont, but still know in the back of my head I still may.

It will be around 9,000. There will be a little bit of a drop off but ISU basketball fans are some of the best in the country, we will still sell a bunch of tickets. The real story will be how many butts are in the seats.

People may choose not to attend, but the tickets will still be sold.

    Yes...a fool.

People can talk big if they want, but the simple fact comes when you don't renew you lost those seats. When you are faced with that decision, it's a little tougher to jump on your mighty soapbox and demand a change.
