    Big XII Tourney Brackets Set

Looks like we'll play the winner of #7 Oklahoma St. and #10 Kansas in the second round. Neither team looks real appealing since we struggled against Kansas in Lawrence and just lost to OSU this week...Lacey's return will be a huge factor against either team, but we'll really need her if we play OSU! Especially if we want to stop Andrea Riley (she dropped 25 today in the 95-62 loss to OU). Can't wait for the tourney to get under way though and get our shot at Nebby in the championship! Let's go Cyclones!

Truthfully, I like either match-up. Aus and Co will want to avenge the OSU loss, and it is Hilton South!!!! KU might be able to knock off OSU, but I imagine OSU will be out to prove something after their blow out loss today.

    Go cyclones!!!!

    i am hoping for Kansas....

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

With Aus, we roll OSU or KU. Without Aus and on the road and on senior night we STILL should have beaten OSU. A few bad turnovers leading to a late run by OSU and the game is over. With Aus the game would not have even been in reach for OSU at that point.

Re: Big XII Tourney Brackets Set

I like we are the two, because the 3/6 game could be really interesting if BU beats CU and gets to play Oklahoma. It would be Griner's first game back, and I'm sure KM will have her ready to go. I'll take OKST, we can beat them, and Kansas has fallen apart down the stretch, and appear to be ready to pack it in for the year. A couple other boards I read today said KM planned Griner's two game suspension knowing a loss today would actually give her a better position in the B12 tourney because it would get her out of Nebraska's side of the bracket, and she wouldn't have to play A&M in the quarterfinals.

No matter what Kim did, Griner would have been suspended for today's game due to NCAA rules.

But the second game (the one Kim decided upon) actually happens in the first round of the Big XII tournament, so her decision doesn't affect Big 12 seeding. Now it's possible two games were decided upon because Baylor ought to win their first-round game regardless and they'll have Griner back for the second game.

Re: Big XII Tourney Brackets Set

No, it doesn't impact her seeding, but had they won today, BU would have been the # 4 seed, and their first game of the B12 (Griner's 2nd game of the suspension) would have been against TAMU. By losing today, she now moves to the six seed, draws CU in the first round, and if they win, she gets Griner back for a game with OU. Again, its not my theory, just read it on a couple of other boards I follow. What it does is make her win four games in four days, but she got out of Nebraska's and TAMU's bracket. The best thing that could happen is CU plays ball, and beats BU in the opening round.
