    McD approval rating?

Big win last night. How's it effect everyone's satisfaction with our coach?

We still greatly under-achieved this year, even if it was a great win.

It was a nice win. Just too little too late to change my opinion.

Spending the whole season, not changing your plan while consistantly losing, and then finally pulling one out with nothing to lose on either side, K-State had already locked up the no. 2 seed in the Big 12 Conference, hardly makes me change my opinion on the job he has done over FOUR seasons. Even with this win we still won THREE conference games this year, the least in the 4 years he's been here.

Great job last night!! Atleast people can't complain anymore about not beating a top 25; top 10; or Sorry - a top 5 team. Congrats to the Cyclones! To the people who said they wouldn't go or watch another game; you missed a good game!!!!

My thoughts exactly! Big win? Yes.

Unfortunately, it does nothing to show me this is the right man for the job....regression is not a way to build a program & I'm completely sick of the excuses & the pity party being thrown out there for him. It's your damn team, Mac, take ownership for the successes AND failures!

Biggest win in the Greg McDermott era. Unfortunately, just another typical season in the Greg McDermott era.

    Re: McD approval rating?

I will be as respectufl as I can as I am still in celebration mode from taking down the #5 team in the nation.

As a bunch of us were saying last night - maybe this is the turning point that we can all look back on at some point down the road.

That being said this season overall and all of his seasons have been bad..... real bad. I think he gets at least one more year for 2 reasons:
    1) money - we don't have it
    2) who can we get right now that is gonna do better?

So I guess my main hope now is that things start to 'click', and some how some way we have turned the corner and things start to happen for ISU. Will it is simply a question of time.

    Re: McD approval rating?

Great win that night... I thought they would blow it. They came pretty close on many occations.

One big thing I did notice was that the assistant coaches were up coaching and talking a lot to the players. Maybe they were feeling the heat and thinking they maybe looking for jobs. Just good to see that they were working hard too.

    Re: McD approval rating?

Two or 3 more wins(which is very possible because of all of our close games) and I'd be very happy.

    Re: McD approval rating?

Strange how just one game so totally changes everyone's perceptions. Win just one game and people forget about the fact that we are still 4-12 on the conference season. I think there are an awful lot of wishy-washy people around here.

Anyway, the next game will determine a lot. If we do somehow beat Texas, then I am willing to accept that maybe the Missouri game at home was the "bottoming out" and we are at the beginnings of a long-term improvement. but if we lose by 5 or more points, then I am back on the "Coach must go" bandwagon.

    Re: McD approval rating?

I didn't answer the question because it doesn't change the way I feel about Mac. I support Mac and think he is a good coach but am still not sure he can get it done at ISU - for some reason we have had nothing but bad luck since Mac became the coach (some his doing and some out of his control).

    Re: McD approval rating?

Great win! But one win does not change the fact that ISU won only 4 conference games this year and that barring a miracle, ISU will not be included in any postseason play. I still have no confidence in the future of ISU men's BB under GM's direction.
