    Windows XP question

Okay so my personal computer at my house....
    Asus
Goes to the start up methods fine then when it gets to the Windows XP is starting up, it won't go past that stage, i left it go a whole day in that stage, nothing. Still doing it.
What the hell is wrong with it? Virus? or time for an upgrade.

See if it boots into safe mode. Hit F8 before the windows screen on boot.

Could be a piece of hardware. Remove your keyboard and try, then try without a mouse, etc for each peripheral you have. Keyboards can be a real stickler sometimes.

    Re: Windows XP question

Is there hard drive activity or is the hard drive light just solid? Can you hear it spinning in the machine?

Did you do any updates recently?

Asteroids are nature's way of asking "How's that space program going?"
