    Cromartie for a 3rd rounder!?!

New York Jets reach agreement with Chargers to acquire former All-Pro cornerback Antonio Cromartie - ESPN

The Vikings could give up a 3rd rounder for a really good CB? Are you kidding me? Did they not even call on this guy? Huge failing grade on this one...

That makes the Jets REALLY good at covering the pass... Revis on one side and Cromartie on the other.... yikes...

good value trade for the jets... i think the chargers are at the end of the line and need to start rebuilding the team with young talent so they are going after all the pics they can get.

He had one good(lucky) season and has been pretty average the rest of the time. He should be fine in NY but he will be picked on very much.

The Vikings weren't in a position to sign Cromartie, as they haven't lost any restricted free agents yet. If Chester Taylor is going to Chicago then the Vikings could (and should) go after Dunta Robinson

Except for the fact that Cromartie wasn't a free agent. The jets traded to get him.

So the Vikings were in a position to get him...they just didn't

Ah-ha. This is making more sense now why this isn't in the Free Agent Thread...

I'm glad the Vikes did not get him as a bears fan but the knock on Cramartie is that he does not like to hit people. This is why the Chargers are letting him go. Otherwise why would they let a young CB with ballhawking skills like his go?

Good pickup for the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets.

He had 10 picks three years ago. When that happens, people tend to stop throwing in your direction. He is far from average (joke statement, really), and now paired up with Revis, QB's are going to have to make a VERY difficult decision...QUICKLY. This frees up yet another blitzer.

The Jets D is going to be extremely scary.

The question I have, as a Jets fan...what do we do in the draft?? Don't really need anything I can think of off the top of my head, except maybe some younger offensive linemen, or possibly another RB.

This, yes Shonn Greene really came on toward the end of the year but history would suggest that your starting RB rarely makes it through an entire season without at least missing some valuable playing time. T Jones is a quality back that produces. I wishe the Bears would have never let him go to create room for Benson who was terrible in Chicago.

This is a quality signing for NYJ.
