Sad: ISU places no players on Academic All-Big 12 team

All of the Big 12 teams except Iowa State and Nebraska have players on this season's men's basketball Academic all-conference team...

Sometimes you have to give up the grades if you want to be competitive in the Big 12... oh wait. Only joking.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Maybe this is why the mens team can't close out a game, they just aren't smart enough to know what to do.

We went downhill when we lost Ross Marsden to engineering.

This is extremely pathetic. Are we playing video games all the time in the practice facility?

You are joking right? No players on this year's teams means Greg is not doing it the right way? Players graduating and staying out of trouble is doing it the right way.
There are so many stats to suggest that Greg is not "doing it" at all, (like his Big 12 record) why resort to illogical bs?
Does not having anyone on the team equate to not having anyone eligible for the team?

I must also admit, I could not care less if we have players on these teams.

Re: Sad: ISU places no players on Academic All-Big 12 team

I think only five guys on the roster (Brackins, Garrett, Buckley, Hamilton, and Christopherson) were even eligible for Academic All B12.

That said, kinda sad nobody made it.

Just what I was thinking. They don't seem to be so great at the athlete thing, who knew they could mess up the student thing too?

What do the players do with all their time? They couldn't be lifting weights or shooting free throws much, so what do they do?

I believe he means that first-year transfer players, as well as freshmen, are not eligible, so the rest are "eligible."

What must be done is clear. We need to clone GMac so he can micromanage the player's personal lives.

Also, props to the MechE and NukeE

It really isn't that big of a deal.

The problem is that a lot of the people that make excuses for what has happened the last four years talked constantly about how we were going to get this player and that player, but we couldn't because they were a risk.

One was Jacob Pullen who, as far as I can tell has been eligible to play at Kansas State since he was recruited. I am sure that it is because they aren't doing things the right way.
