    Alice in Wonderland

Anyone planning to see this tonight or tomorrow? I'm gonna go tomorrow night. It should be awesome, but I really like Tim Burton, Helen Bonham-Carter, and Johnny Depp (Sweeny Todd). The reviews are mixed but its in 3-D, so it should be interesting if nothing else.

    Re: Alice in Wonderland

I generally like Tim Burton films, but I know not everyone does. And I loved Helena Bonham-Carter and Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd too. I doubt I'll see it in the theater unless reviews are really good, but I do think it looks cool.

Tim Burton is by far my favorite director. I'll be seeing it in theater regardless of the reviews. There hasn't been one Tim Burton movie that I didn't like.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

Sweeney Todd was one that I just couldn't get. I tried to watch it 2 or 3 times and couldn't keep interest for more than about 20 min. Then one day, I have no idea what happened, but I just got it, and I really enjoyed the film. I think it had everything to do with my mood.

I would, but I haven't seen a Tim Burton movie yet that was worth the money spent.

I hope not. Planet of the Apes was terrible. They had a decent cast, (Marky Mark excluded) but it was just not a good film.

The original POTA is a great flick. The remake? not so much.

I think it suffered from a studio telling TB what to do and not letting him do his thing. Notice how much different it is from his previous films.

    Re: Alice in Wonderland

We saw it last night, and I thought it was really well done. If I had ever known the story, I had forgotten, but of course, I know the characters just from cultural awareness. It was highly imaginative and looked pretty awesome.
