    Thanks Chris!

The Cyclonefanatic recruiting party at 3rd Base was great! It was great to see the recruits videos and hear the coaches talk about the players. Coach Pope didn't seem to like Shontrell Johnson much though!

Well run and thanks for putting it together. Whenever you can get Cyclone fans together it is a great thing, especially when you have the opportunity to meet some of the coaches and talk to them. Look forward to doing it again next year

Thanks everybody for showing up! I think that we had at least 100 Fanatics packed into 3-Bag...great turnout and a special thanks to the coaches who not only showed up but stuck around and talked with fans for 2 plus hours after the event! I will post pictures/a report tomorrow.

I had watched a little video on Johnson, but my crappy connection did not do him justice. While all of the backs looked impressive, (hey, they're highlights after all) the thing that impressed me about Johnson is his acceleration. I don't think I've ever seen a running back at ISU who can accelerate that fast after getting through the line of scrimmage. If he can catch a pass in open space he's going to be fun to watch. Hollis looked solid as well and West reminds me of a more athletic version of JJ Moses. He's got the potential to be as good as Darren Sproles. A very impressive stable of backs indeed.

Walking on water is easy. Just do it in December when it's frozen.

    Re: Thanks Chris!

Coaches talked a lot about speed, speed, and more speed. They also talked a lot about catching a 5 yard pass and taking it to the house. I love your coaches and the enthuiasm they talk with. Thanks for the event Chris, and it was nice meeting you and other Cyclone fans. It is so nice to be able to talk to other fanatics and see their perspective on Cyclone athletics. Third base as also very reasonable with $3 basket with cheeseburger and $5 domestic pitchers, and very nice place and service. It was also nice to see the owners of the site

    Re: Thanks Chris!

this was a really good time need to do more stuff like this

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

That he was slow, unathletic, and would never see the field at ISU

The guy was giddy about Shontrelle. Even when watching Hollis and his videos, Pope would find a way to talk about Shontrelle. Judging by him, I would be shocked if he isn't the guy that gives A Rob a breather
