    Who is our best player?

On a roster with two NBA-caliber players and a three year starter at PG, I probably would have to go with Justin Hamilton, who isn't one of those three players, sadly...

Speaks to the gameplan and preparation of the coaching staff...

I like Hamilton and I like his potential but let's not forget he probably benefits the most from the attention paid to Brackins and Gilstrap. If we were picking teams it would still come down to Brackins and Gilstrap.

That man does WORK... he has a chance to be a pretty good post in the Big 12. He doesn't seem like the type of player to leave after a coaching change either.

This makes no sense at all. So, Hamilton is the best player because of the coach?

Did you go to the game last night? Hamilton was terrible and barely even played. Couldn't hang on to the ball at all. Haven't seen why he gets the love he gets on here. Could be a hell of a player if he played more mad. Plays way to nice for a basketball player IMO.

You mean the guy that had 0 points, 6 boards, and 1 foul and 2 turnovers last night is our best player?

I don't see Ham being more than a 8-10/point, 6-7 rebound guy. Maybe I'm wrong but since Gmac hasn't really developed any players I don't see this one happening.

He does play hard for the most part. He plays timid against other good bigs which might be due to age.

Re: Who is our best player?

Best or most consistently good? I feel like I can always count on Diante. I just think that when he goes into a game he will probably give us a few points, some assists, a couple steals and work his *** off. With Craig or Gilstrap I have no clue what I am getting. Will they go 5/16 and maybe hurt us or will they go out and win the game for us? I would have to say as far as what they can do for us it is Craig, but he has not been consistent this year.

Colvin? this kid is so good, i dont think enough people give him credit. I bet he is the next wesley johnson, hes going to leave and go to a good team and turn into a great player with a coach that fully developes his skills.

You mean count on him to miss wide-open players in the post and make lazy passes?

Gilstrap might be our most complete player.

I think you unknowningly hit on the root of our problem. We have two FRINGE AT BEST NBA prospects - more likely D league or for 'Strap overseas, and a 3 year point guard who is probably better suited to being a scoring wing. All three of these guys have been over-inflated by our fans IMO.

We have talented guys, no doubt, but the pieces don't compliment each other. Man for man we are more talented than say UNI but they have a TEAM, not just guys on a roster.
