Russia President calls for athletic officals heads

New York Times - President Dmitri A. Medvedev of Russia, angered over his country’s disappointing performance at the Winter Games, began calling for athletic officials’ heads.

“Those who are responsible for training for the Olympics must take responsibility,” Mr. Medvedev said on Monday. “They must have the courage to submit their resignation,” he said. “And if they do not have this resolve, we will help them.”

Is this a little over the top? I understand being frustrated especially when your country is going to host in 4 years but wow

No, its Russia! Also, they are used to being at the top of the medal counts in all Olympics and now that they have the 2014 Olympics, they are looking to dominate. They have to start early to get the right leadership in place to then get to the right coaches in place to train their athletes to make a run at the medals in 2014.

Would it be possible to have this man give a motivational speech to JP?

I suppose he is ****** because during the opening ceremonies when Russia was walking into the stadium they said the goal of the Russians was to win 40 medals and set a new record and the USA ended up with the new record of 37.

At least in Russia they only lose their jobs. Saddam used to turn them over to his sons and they would lose other things.
