"Ricky Howard, a JC transfer, could be the answer at TE."

I thought this comment was odd. Isn't Collin Franklin considered a threat receiving at the TE position?

Collin Franklin is a very solid TE. Howard will be a nice addition, but we already have a good TE. Nothing wrong with having 2. I wouldn't be stunned to see them both on the field at times.

They are sort of right, as I think Ricky is looked at as a favorite to replace Derrick Catlett as more of a blocking tight end.

I agree. However the way he stated it he made it sound as if we had no experienced receivers at the TE position. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something regarding #88's skills in that regard.

    Thanks for the clarification Al...

I'd pay any amount of money for us to just drill KU this year. Finally the unsackable Reesing and the uncover-able Meyer is gone after their 9th year of eligibility.

I think we're gonna get some serious get-back on KU this year.

I think we could take them to the woodshed. It would be great. That '06 loss to them at JTS was one of the worst we've had.

My assumption is that the looked at our recruiting class and saw a JuCo TE and also noticed that we were graduating a TE. They put two and two together and assumed that Ricky was brought in with hopes of him being an immediate target.

I don't think they put enough effort in to research and find out that Ricky is expected to mostly replace Catletts blocking and that we have a pretty good receiving TE.

Also, I was a bit underwhelmed by Franklins receiving numbers this year, so I can understand why he is not thought of as a big threat. I hope both TEs bust out for more yardage this year as well as the rest of the recieving corps.

Re: Big 12 Spring (Pre) Outlook

I like the KU comments. I want to destroy them/hit them coming off the bus by about at least a 4 touchdown blowout. F- KU.
