Carmel, CA trip and surrounding area

I will be in Carmel for 5 days in a couple weeks. Not very familiar with the area. What are some must do things? I plan on going to Big Sur and possibly Pebble Beach but that's about it so far.

17 mile drive is a must! Also, there is a little coffee shop on Ocean Ave where John Madden hangs out. Saw him there last summer. Strolling Ocean and checking out the shops/people is a kick. The beach is pretty cool too as you can see Pebble as you look north from Carmel Beach. Had lunch at Pebble Beach. Burgers and fries for 4....$120!! Check out the wineries in the area too.

Monterrey bay aquarium was really cool. The 17 Mile was nice, bring your camera and stop a bunch for pictures. Make an afternoon out of it. Park the car somewhere and walk through the redwood forests.
