    To funny. Ron Prince must have ran him off. He runs off every other coach.

    Re: Huggins is done

    Ron Princes assistant coaches keep quiting and taking other jobs. KSU fans are really nervous about the football coaching turnover from assistants. Thus Huggy Leaves. It's a joke.

    Anyway the comedy of watching K-State fans act like they were going to win multiple national championships with Huggy at the helm was very funny.

    Gee, Mr. Huggins... I felt like I hardly got to know ya...

    Then again, March 1997 is all I need to know about ya!

    Do you suppose all of Huggy-Bear's star recruits will follow him??

    (I bet there's some pretty unhappy folk down in Manhattan right about now)

    They’re looking at Frank Martin, asst coach under Huggins, as the leading candidate to replace Huggins. He was the one that recruited Pullen, Brown and Sutton.

    They’re hoping to retain Delante Hill as an assistant, he’s the one that got Beasley.

    Additional info from KSU -
    The one thing that people are assuming is that Michael Beasley will follow Bob Huggins wherever he goes. The problem with that argument is that Michael Beasley signed with Kansas State because of Dalonte Hill, his former AAU coach that both he and his mother consider a father figure that will look out for HIS best interests. If Dalonte Hill follows Bob Huggins, then Beasley is as good as gone as well, but apparently if Bob Huggins does bolt to WVU, then KState will do everything it possibly can to retain both Frank Martin and Dalonte Hill in Manhattan. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

    If that happens, the chance and maintaining the class will increase dramatically.

    Re: Huggins is done

    Again, losing a top flight basketball coach (nevermind that he had DUIs and poor grad rates), but a TOP BASKETBALL COACH is not good for the Big XII. It'll be even worse if Billy G got scraped out too. The Big XII wants the best of the best, and losing Huggins and everything he was bringing not only to KSU but to the conference sucks.
    And my other point is, we don't want the conference to get weaker. The North is already considered the ugly step child. When we win, and we will win, we want to beat the best. I don't want to win and accomplish things in what people call a weak conf because then we'll be considered a weak winner! NOT GOOD!!!

    Re: Huggins is done

    Wow, if I was a KSU fan I'd be very po'd right now. We all knew Huggins had character issues but to leave 1 year after taking the KSU job is a pretty crappy thing to do. Guessing he was just planning to use KSU as a way get his "second chance" to clean up his image then take another job all along.

    Huggins....that freaking slithering snake shouldn't be allowed to retain Hill...hell, he shouldn't have been able to hire him in the first place. I will be absolutely outraged if Beasley and Walker follow him to WV, he didn't deserve either of them in the first place and he CERTAINLY doesn't now.

    Consider it an even trade with CU getting a serious coaching upgrade.

    Everyone knew Huggybear wasn't going to be a long term coach at KSU. The Big XII north will just be lucky if he leaves KSU without any NCAA violations.

    Interesting analogy...

    Huggins == LE
    Martin == WM

    Good luck with that...

    Beasley may try to follow, but I doubt Walker would sit our another year. He needs to play one more before turning pro anyways.
