    Maybe their service is poor.

Here's an idea.... eat somewhere else. She must REALLY like the food there.

If you go somewhere often enough that the staff all know you (as a poor tipper in this case), obviously its good enough that maybe you should be tipping well?

Yeah, exactly. She must be incredibly cheap. Obvously if she couldn't afford to tip she shouldn't wouldn't be eating out there constantly.

Please explain what happened at Legends and teachers! I do not live in the area and never heard what happened and I would guess there are others on here that don't know either. So, please explain.

For the managers to refuse her service there must be more than just her poor tipping. I've been in food service, and regulars that don't tip well - or at all - just waited a little longer to place their order, didn't get as many drink refills, and so on.

There is no way I would have paid the 18% gratuity they tacked on for 3 people eating. I also would not have went back.

They tacked that on after she was a poor tipper many times before.

But to not inform her before the meal, the first time they did it is wrong.

If this place is like every Japanese Steakhouse I've been to, the workers put on a show and take great pride in their work. The chefs cook in front of you and put on a show. The meals are usually pretty expensive. Your expected to tip at least decently in joints like this. Its not Applebees or something.

The story as I heard it involves a violent, militaristic band of rogue educators who ditched their classes full of perfect little angels, and forcefully took possession of a Legends restaurant. Over the course of several hours these malcontents berated and tortured their server with verbal threats, cigarette burns, and painful pinching. Then, they had the audacity to complain that their experience had not been satisfactory. The meek little waitress attempted to soothe the situation by offering to comp their meal as a sign of good faith. This seemed to satiate the horde, save one lone chieftan who viewed this act of surrender as a challenge. This viscious curr of a woman, (also quite ugly as the story goes) decided that a simple free meal was not good enough. Her rage would not be satisfied until she had the taste of blood on her lips and had established her dominance over the establishment. Crazy with fury, she howled and ululated and demanded a duel with the manager.

The owner of the establishment, a taxpayer, good samaritan, and all around straight shooter had been performing Zen rituals in his office when he heard the growls and cries for help. He quickly put down his Peace Corps application and went to see what was the matter.

By the time he arrived on the scene, the gang of educators had taken all of the staff hostage, while the Alpha-Teacher urinated on the bar to mark her territory. The owner, always the consumate gentleman, approached the snarling woman, and offered her a wet nap so she might clean herself up before they faced each other. She slapped it away and stood toe to toe with the amicable businessman. Her breath reeked of stale coffee and ranch dressing, the padded shoulders of her off the rack, kelly green, business suit rising and falling with each ragged breath she took. The owner mustered all of his courage and asked what was the problem. This ushered in a screaming response filled with cursing and lewd thrusting which delighted the throng of unionized onlookers. Each one voiced their support by jingling the keys to their Mercedes Benz's. Some lit their IPERS benefit statements on fire as torches, and waved them menacingly.

The first blow had been dealt, and clearly, the Legends owner had lost.

Not one to lose his wits, the businessman quickly decided another course of action. If he could not best the mob through force, perhaps he could outwit them.

He tried to put on his most defeated face and slumped his shoulders. "You win," he sighed. "You can have it. My restaurant is yours."

The crowd of teachers howled with victory. They stamped their feet, lifting a choking cloud of chalkboard dust into the air. Finally, the Alpha-Teacher signaled for quiet by flicking the lightswitch on and off, and she approached the disheveled businessman to claim her prize.

"Just treat the place right," the man said, near tears, "I've put so much time in to this place. It's such hard work. I'm here day and night making sure this place runs smoothly. Just promise me you'll treat it with the same respect."

The room suddenly became deathly quiet. Some of the younger teachers whispered into the ears of their tenured brethren asking what the businessman meant by the phrase "hard work." The older teachers just furrowed their brows, looking worried.

The Alpha-Teacher, sensing the shift in power, attempted to seize back control by exploding into a furied tantrum of detention threats. The busniness owner allowed himself to smile a little bit, as the teacher raged, for he still had yet to deliver his final blow.

He looked directly at his adversary, licked his lips, and casually spoke, "And the summers are the busiest..."

The words hit the gaggle of instructors like a tidal wave. Some looked confused. Some looked scared. Most just ran. As the restaurant cleared out, the Alpha-Teacher stood in place, her face a twisted scowl of hate. The business owner stared right back, forcing her to break her gaze and slink off toward the exit. She turned one last time, and opened her mouth to take one more verbal jab, but the Legends owner cut her off.

"Class dismissed, *****" he said, "The next time you all have an inservice day, you make sure to let me know ahead of time. Now get the **** out of my family restaurant."

    THE END???
