    Best Motivation

A Mens basketball thread mentioned the team might need a psychologist. I have enjoyed Dr. Denis Waitley for years, I have his Psychology of Winning tapes from a sales job , that I had years ago. I still listen to his tapes about every 2 to 3 years. His tapes are like a classic novel, every time I listen, I understand more. I want to know from others, in sales, what outside source can inspire you? NOT YOUR WIFE, BOSS, MONEY AND THE OBVIOUS TO ME (Bible). A motivational book or audio that really cuts to the heart of things you might recommend. I have been on commissioned only sales for over 23 years, I need different outlooks to change things up.

Years ago, that 7 Habits of Highly Effective People really helped me, especially the idea that your circumstances don't control your attitudes or expectations, which was the beginning of it.

I found that one pretty good.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

    Re: Best Motivation

My latest inspirational readings are The Magic of Thinking Big and The Power of Now. The Magic of Thinking Big I use because it constantly hammers home the point that excuses based on your environment are just that, excuses. And I like to read the Power of Now when my mind is wandering and scattered. The book, as the title suggests, states that living in the moment no matter what you're doing is the only thing that matters. It's useful when you're distracted or overwhelmed by vague worries.
