    Torn calf muscle

So I was playing basketball tonight and I started going down the court on a fastbreak when I hear and feel this pop in my calf. Based on what I have read it sounds like a calf muscle tear. I have an appointment for the morning with Stadia Sports Medicine in West Des Moines. The pain is starting to increase as I am sitting here right now. I have been icing it off and on since I have been home. I am getting to the point to where I can hardly put any weight on my right foot. I can move my foot up and down so it is not the achillees.

Anyone have this happen to them before? What did you do? How long were you out of commisson. I was planning on running Dam to Dam again this year but my guess is that is out now.

You could have torn your AT where it connects to the calf muscle itself, as opposed to near the heal bone. Feeling/hearing a pop to me sounds like a tendon rupture.....Please report back tomorrow, and good luck and best wishes.

Did it feel and sound like you got hit in the calf with a rock? I had that happen during a flag football game. I was stiff and sore for 3 weeks. I didn't go to the doctor. It kind of freaked me out because I thought I popped my achilles initially.

    You recently used Levaquin?

As far as depth goes though, the combination of White, Woodbury, Olaseni, Basabe, and Uthoff is much better than Niang, Ejim, Edozie, Gibson. Not because of the top 2, but because of the next 2 or 3. -DeanVogs
