    Replacing/Firing a Coach

Can someone explain to me what are the steps to fire/replace a college coach ?
I want to know the steps, who make(s) the decision, how significant the role of the boosters ?

Let's keep it as general discussions instead of focusing on a specific ISU sports.

Step one, cut a hole in the box.

    Oh wait...sorry.

Boosters give the money and are very significant. If the AD dept cant afford to buy out a contract they need the boosters to do so.

I assume there's no limit of how much a booster can contribute to a school ? Like T Boone Pickens or Bobby Lowder ?

I wouldnt think so. Its a public institution that runs off of donations and tuition. The athletic dept really is no different.

A few boosters probaly have to give the ok. See LE and Morgan. The AD and Pres do make the final call, but there is input from where the money comes from.
