    NFL Combine

Looked on NFL.com at the participants list and saw that no Cyclones are participating. I thought I would see Reggie Stephens at least. Any one know if he was not invited or is he unable/willing to participate for some reason.

    Re: NFL Combine

Tony Moaeki is participating, and I only know this because he stood behind me in line at Hungry Hobo today and mentioned that he was leaving tommorow to the stoned guy making his sandwhich.

Sorry, no relevance to anything, just thought I'd share that story.

    Re: NFL Combine

I will be interested to see how some guys will do in this years "underwear olympics". I would like to see what kind of numbers guys put up this year.

I wonder who will be this years Mike Mamula/Matt Jones?

Who will kill thier stock with their performance/non performance?

Who will be the fastest? (I.E. who will the Raiders reach for in the draft)

I am waiting to see what kind of numbers guys like Toby Gerhart and Tim Tebow put up in the drills.

All Cameras on Timmy again, ESPN has a story on him every day it seems like, Seems like he is working his *** off to be a NFL QB, his new release looks like a QB's should, i love his work ethic and everything, but some of the stuff is just too much, ie, the Tebow cam at the Sugar Bowl

    Re: NFL Combine

I agree that the Tebow following is crazy but I am interested to see if he runs the 40, benches, or does any of the other standard drills. Regardless of wether or not he plays QB in the NFL it would be interested to see how is numbers stack up against the other athletes there. Granted I like the kid because of his work ethic and team first attitude he displayed while at Florida. Gerhart I am intrigued with because I heard rumor that he can run a sub 4.5 40. If he can do that at his size and with his level of production in a pretty good Pac 10 then I don't see why he would not be able to succeed in the NFL. Straight line speed is overrated in the NFL. Very rarely does a player to get a shot to run 40 yards untouched.

The rumor is that Tebow will not be throwing at the combine, but will participate in other drills.

    Re: NFL Combine

I took a flight yesterday with Moeaki and Richardson I think it was him). I thought about inviting them to join me in the United Red Carpet Club, then changing my mind at the last minute and tell them I couldn't because I'm a Cyclone fan. Alas, I have no guts. Sorry CFs.

    Re: NFL Combine

Tebow was on NFL Access on Thursday night and he said he would do everything but throw. He also demonstrated what he has learned over the past few weeks of training regarding a 5 step drop from under center, and he broke down the differences between his old and new throwing motions. He seems to be a very smart kid and handeled himself very well infront of a camera.

Still looking for story on Reggie Stephens....any clue what happened. As high as people talked about him I am stunned unless its injury that he wasn't invited.

How many other centers were invited? He might get more out of a more personalized senior day at ISU.

Don't know if this guy can play a lick but Mitch Petrus from Arkansas put up 45 reps of 225 lbs on the bench press today.
