A 12-acre automobile graveyard, littered with contaminated “auto fluff” on Davenport’s industrial west end, soon could be capped and converted to green space.
The city acquired the former Zenith Corp. site in 2005 after the company donated the brownfield area that had been used as an unregulated dump since the 1970s. The site is located just to the north of West River Drive about a half-mile west of the Credit Island Park entrance.
Now you know. The word fluff can be used for many things.
