    Product Reviews

I think it would be cool to have a sub-forum for product reviews. I tend to believe fellow cyclones opinions on products. Anyway here some things I've recently bought that I've been very happy with:

Brooks Brothers non-iron long sleeve shirt-Found one on sale. Very good quality and I never have to iron it. I wish I had the money to have a closet full of these shirts. I hate ironing shirts.

OOMA TELO-Canceled my phone service and have been using a combo of Google Voice going to OOMA. No one that has called has mentioned a thing so they probably still think I have a normal lan line. Hopefully the company stays in business. My pay-back is about a year.

Netgear HDXB111 Powerline-I had an old powerline system that worked fine but I wanted more speed. This one has 200mbps throughput. It delivers about double the speed. No brainer instalation. Plug both units in and it works. Then i have it running to a cheap $15 switch that allows up to 10 connections.

Elemental Designs A5-350 home sub-Tons of boom from 15" driver. Shakes the whole house and goes down LOW (16hz). Another plus is that they are made in Iowa. Downside is that they are HUGE (108lbs).

    Just ok products

Flip Ultra HD-It took it on a vacation and it worked good but these small video cameras really need some kind of image stabilization.

DLink Dir-825 802.11n Dual Band Gigabit router-I don't know if it's the router or the technology but when I connect it's plenty fast but the signal sucks compared to my 6 year old Belkin G router.

Mediacom HSI-I just to have MHSI then switched to 1.5 DSL and now I'm back to MCHSI. The download speed is amazing, the upload sucks compared to DSL. For $29/month it's a no-brainer. Once the year is over I don't know if I'll be able to stomach $60. Maybe by 2011 I'll be able to get Qwest fiber in my neighborhood.

    How about some other reviews?

    Another that I forgot about

Samsung 37" LCD 120hz 1080p-I wanted another plasma but this was for the bedroom and I was limited to 37". I was very disappointed at first but then I ran it through Digital Video Essentials Blu-Ray disc and now it looks a ton better. I ran that same DVE through my Panasonic Plasma and the Plasma was pretty close to perfect right out of the box.

Yes, but that's how much I like them. It's hard for me to fund shirts that I like.

I would imagine the costs of running a textile operation are higher than one would expect. Not to mention marketing and miscellaneous expenses.

White Hanes T-shirt - I got a pack of these for Christmas. They are comfortable and have everything you want in a plain white t-shirt.... meaning they are white in color and a t-shirt. I generally wear them under button-up shirts to work, and they work well for this purpose. I also wear them at home at times and they also are also adequate for when you want to just wear a white t-shirt. I would recommend these t-shirts to anybody who needs a white t-shirt.

    Yes

Amazon.com: Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics [Blu-ray]: Joe Kane: Movies & TV
You'll need a blu-ray player for this version. They make another one that's for SD nad it would probably be fine. The content itself on the disc kind of sucks but it's worth it for the color test alone.

I like these for about the first 20 times I wear them. After that they seem to shrink and the sleeves shrink, which drives me crazy.

When would one want to wear just a white t-shirt? I'd ask why, but I'm afraid of the answer.
