    ESPN.com link

This one surprised me a little.

Colorado, a much more undesirable job than Iowa, landed a successful coach for about $500,000 per year cheaper? Interesting.

According to Wikipedia, this makes him the highest paid coach ever at Colorado. How much does Hawkins make?

5 years at $750k per year. Which means he'll make more than GMac.

Anyone know where GMac ranks in terms of the Big 12? He has to be in the bottom 3 or 4.

He's an excellent coach as well. Big 12 getting better all the time as well as the Big 10. I'm happy.

As far as I know about the salaries, only Capel and Sadler make less than McD.

Not too big of a jump though for Bzdelik, he only has to go a little over an hour and a half to get to Boulder.

Colorado was probably the only school with a good chance to land him.

Another great coaching pick up for the conference... This is quite the class the Big XII is putting together...

Bzdelik's another extremely solid coach to add to the Big 12. Former NBA head coach is always an impressive notch on your belt. I saw Air Force in the NIT, and I was impressed with that Princeton style offense they run...seemed that they could get open shots at will. I hope he can revive that program.

Re: Bzdelik leaves Air Force for Colorado

Damn, last thing we need is CU getting good at hoops... it could happen with this guy. They might get more than 2,500 in attendance now. If he could turn a bunch of undersized flyboys into a competitive team, he surely can at CU. Of course ISU struggled in Boulder even against some of Ricardo's worst teams (see one of the 5 loses in '00 was there), so not much should change in games @ Boulder.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Hey man, that game was crap. Most teams don't rely on half-court shots by Jaquay Walls to send games into overtime. Oh, and Jaquay Walls went NUTS in OT too. We were somehow destined to lose that game, that's how I defend it

This guy is good but I still firmly believe that CU needs to employ a run and gun and/or 40 minutes of hell variation. This Princeton style offense will almost completely eliminate the advantage CU has in conditioning in that altitude.
