Craig sure seems like a nice guy from the outside looking in. That's a big reason why this season hurts so much for me. We finally get a guy who likes Iowa State enough to stay and then it turns out to crap for him and the team. And for someone who is likely gone this season, it doesn't seem like there would be a huge reason for him to throw McDermott a bone if he didn't really mean it.

Brackins is such a class act, at least we can say we have good guys on our team who haven't been getting into any trouble, etc.. with all this losing.

    Agree.

Wishful thinking but I hope Craig stays, we turn this thing around and end up in the dance for Craig.

I agree with you but after hearing Mac talk about this today, I think the chances are very, very slim that he stays. He's 6-10 and has mad skills, despite what his numbers this year indicate. He's as good as gone, IMO. Hope I am wrong.

I just really hope that future generations of Cyclones realize this as well. I hope Craig being on some crappy teams does not deminish his stature among the all time Cyclone greats.

Last year at this time, I would agree wholeheartedly and wish for Brackins to stay. This year, at this time, I am hoping really hard that he takes his game to the NBA while he can. There is absolutely no reason for him to come back again - it will not make much difference to next year's results. I hate to say that, but I think this season has shown that talent cannot overcome defective schemes and questionable coaching.

I guess I just don't see the "mad" skills. He can shoot an open 3, once in a while hit a fade away jumper. It just seems like with mad skills he would dominate more often. Watch almost any Big East game and you'll see a bunch of guys who can hit threes, post up, and have a variety of moves around the basket. I know he gets double teamed alot, but so do a lot of players. I think he is a great kid, I'm proud to have him on the team, and I hope I am wrong.

Mac made a great point today in a conversation. He talked about how in the NBA, Craig will hardly ever get double-teamed. Just think if he wasn't being double-teamed now, how effective he'd be. He's 6-10 and has skills that most guys that size don't have. He'll be fine.

He's one awesome workout away from being a mid-first rounder again.

CB is a great kid and I wish nothing but the best for him. I just wished he could have won more here and played in the NCCA Tourney.

I agree with you to an extent but what is going to happen when a Lewis, or Odom, or Boozer is matched up with him? How is he going to guard those guys? I worry more on the defensive end. He hasn't used his inside game much this year. If he goes to a perimeter oriented game against some of those long, athletic guys I fear he will struggle. I really hope I am wrong but He just seems like a bad matchup for me either way whether he is matched up against someone that is a true 3 or true 4.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

Craig got double-teamed last year too but was able to overcome it. What changed from last season to this season?
