Re: Any word on junior day?

Junior Day is the 6'3" 268# DT prospect who just signed with the Cyclones. He was the sleeper of the year, playing six-man football in western Montana. His home town, Carrion Canyon has been snow bound since Oct. 12 and thus he missed the National Signing Day.
Day has clocked a 4.2 forty and benches 425 lbs. Flat footed, he can dunk (from the back side of the backboard).
Other school who had expressed interest included: USC, Texas, Alabama, and Florida. Asked why he chose Iowa State Day replied, "They are the up and coming team in the nation, I want to be a part of that!"

All truisms are false. All of them.

Even thought he sort of asked for "made up", no one had to oblige him.

Little dude running a 4.63 forty? I know that a lot of forty times are BS, but that seems a little slow to be called a speedster.

a 4.42 shuttle tho....that is a little quicker. just may not have the straight line speed. i've pretty much given up on these 40 stats and whatnot....i want dudes that are football players. if the guy can play ball i'll take him. sometimes guys buckle the chin strap and they just transform....i like those.

I'd put money on him being able to run a faster time than that. He already has two Big12 offers according to Rivals and interest from other teams.

There aren't a lot of slot receivers running true 4.6 forties that get that much interest.

He is much faster than that according to another source. I'll take him. I hope Nebraska doesn't offer, but I'll bet they do.
