    Game in HD

On a positive note, the game was in HD last night. Didn't see it discussed much except a couple posts in the game thread.

Anyone know if this was a one-off thing or is this going to continue?

    Re: Game in HD

Heard John say an interview a while back that the Big 12 would pick one game during the week to show in HD.

    Re: Game in HD

This game was broadcast by the Big 12 Network, not the Cyclone Television Network. All games the Big 12 Network do during the week are in HD, I'm not sure about their weekend games? None of the games CTN does are in HD, however, the CTN did pay to get the Iowa game in HD this year, I believe.

    Re: Game in HD

the weekend games on WOI i have noticed are not in HD usually.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than selfish and worry about my liver."

    Re: Game in HD

I understood only CTN home games would be in HD... this year, not Big 12 Network games.

Big 12 Network midweek games: HD
Big 12 Network Saturday games: SD (not enough HD trucks for all the games)

CTN games: SD (with exception of Iowa game)

The cost difference between SD and HD production is still large enough that CTN/Learfield can't afford to do it for more than 1 game.

It's assumed that there will be more HD offerings in 2010-11, from both B12 and CTN.
