    6 game stretch

We're down to the last 6 games of the season and several of them are winnable, IMO. Of the remaining 6 games, 4 are at home and one of the road games is @Colorado.

If Gmac has anything left he will split the remaining games and finish 5-11 in BXII play. I think that's reasonable to expect.

I, like a lot of fans, am not necessarily upset about any individual losses and I certainly realize Gmac has faced some adversity this year. But I'm not happy with the entirety of the season and sitting at 2-8 in conference play is unacceptable.

All of these home games are winnable, IMO and we should expect to beat Colorado in Boulder.

We'll likely know whether there is ANY reason for optimism under Gmac in the next six games.

Yes, with our one point win at home against CO, plus our tradition of dominating CO on the road, PLUS our really really good team this year, a win on the road at CO should be in the bag.

Expect to beat CU in Boulder? I don't think so. I'm not convinced we're even the better team.

I'm convinced we're not. I'm also quite concerned about the Nebraska game next week. We consistently play up to/down to the level of our competition and give up large runs at some point in the game (usually in the 2nd half). Does not detail a recipe for success against anyone.

I think we beat a team like OSU, A&M, Mizzou or KSU, yet lose at home to NU and on the road to CU.

I think we win 4 out of the six with the possibility of 5.

I think we go 0-6 or 1-5 at best.

Fire McD. Now. At least give people a reason to watch the last couple games. McD basketball can be described easily: Soft and boring. Yawn.

The above is much closer to reality than the quote below.

One can infer reality from recent history.

Teams rarely change their stripes at this very late stage in the season.

Agreed. I agree that we are playing well...but we are SO THIN that I just think we're gonna get tired by the end of these games and we'll be lucky to win two more games this year.

Agreed. We're 1-3 at home in the B12. Not good. Can we look at that a little deeper though? Or is this just the view from 30,000 feet?

I don't. A team playing well does not completely go to sleep in the final 5 minutes of a one-point game, allowing the other team to go on a double-digit run while our offense is motionless and guys just throw up long shots.

A team playing well does not put on a great first half against a very good team, then disappear for much of the 2nd half. And a team playing well does not quit on the road to finish a game, allowing the other team to go on a dunk-a-thon.

1 loss to the best team in the nation. Another to a top 10 team. And another to a pretty talented Texas team. Only one was a blowout.
