    Weekend in Minneapolis

Will be going to the T'Wolves Bulls game on Friday and then having a night on the town on Saturday. What are some good places to eat around the downtown area? BBQ, American, Pizza, anything. What are some great places?

O'donnelys right on the corner right outside of the Target Center. Irish pub, great atmosphere. Try the Finnegans Irish on tap, its fantastic.

I live in Downtown MPLS. Plenty to do. Just depends on what sort of atmosphere you're looking for. Are you looking to walk to places to eat or cab it? The best pizza is a like two or three miles from the Target Center in NE Minneapolis called Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge. Killer pizza. Link is here: Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge - Minneapolis, MN

Are you going out after the game or just laid back? I can give more recommendations to nightlife too.

You could help out the Hooters right across the street via skyway, I have heard they are hurting for business lately. I really like Gluek's as well, only a block or so away. There are also some really nice upscale places to eat close to the Target Center, Manhattans being my favorite of the newer ones.

Yea I am a Bulls fan. One of my friends gets a minipak of Twolve games, and wasnt able to make it for this game so I bought them from him. I have never been to a NBA game so it should be fun considering how awesome Minnesota is.

During the KG era, the Target Center was a fun place to see a game. Now, the crowds are so nonexistent you can hear the sneakers squeaking across the floor.

The Annex is right downtown also. We go there on Sat nights when we go to Vikings games. There is a cover, but from 9.30pm-10.30pm, they have what is called Power Hour. Drinks like beer, vodka lemonades, captain and cokes, are only FREE!!. I have the number if you want it.

Nice! I'm spending my birthday in uptown/downtown Minneapolis this weekend! My brother lives like 3 blocks from the Metrodome 24 stories high in a 2 or 3 year old condo building, so I'm celebrating with him!

Wear an ISU shirt and maybe I'll see you up there!

A great spot is Cafe Lurcat... I'd recommend just going to sit in the bar area and ordering from their bar menu. Pretty nice visuals there as well.

The burgers and sea bass are my favorites there. Plenty of great restaurants downtown and uptown. Most of the places referred to in this thread are 'bars' and you'll find bar food. Fun spots to go to after dinner.
