a bit surprising that OU is still ahead of us considering the spanking we put on them...But i imagine the rankings would have been different if the UCONN loss was considered in this week's poll. Although no one expected them to win anyways...they played well in spurts last night. Going into and out of halftime anyways. Log jam of big 12 teams right in the middle there. don't expect that to change b/w now and ncaa's

Probably true. Good showings in the Big 122 tourney will go a long way to determining who gets those coveted 3 seeds I'm guessing.

OU is beneficiary of a #1 SOS and # 7 RPI; not controlling but not ignored by the voters. Three of their losses are to UConn, Tenn and ND which are 3 of the top four so are not held against them. Frankly, the road loss to ISU doesn't hurt that much either. We are still held back by the Drake and KSU losses and #24 RPI #75 SOS. If we keep taking care of business, we'll get what we deserve.

According to RealTimeRPI.com, we are Oklahoma's worst loss. The others coming from #1 UCONN, #3 Tennessee, #5 Notre Dame, #10 Texas, #18 Georgia, and #19 Baylor.

Also interesting that RealTimeRPI has Oklahoma losing 3 of their last 5 games.

This was supposed to be a down year for us, right? If so, I'm really looking forward to the next several seasons...

Yeah, but replacing Lacey will be tough--near impossible. Bolte will have to step up a lot as well as Whit Williams and basically everyone else in the back court.

I think that was only the theory because a lot of us were guilty of underappreciating the greatness that is Allison Lacey.

Yeah, but it's not like we haven't had to replace irreplaceable players in the past - Frese, Gahan, Welle, the girl that dated Fennely's son (name is slipping me) among others. It'll suck to replace Lacey, but we've done it in the past and we'll do it again...

    Lindsay Medders.

FYI... BF and staff have a juco PG from Texas who also happens to be an Aussie that is coming in next year and they think she will be able to be plugged right into the hole Lacey will leave. Hopefully they won't miss a beat. Lacey sure has had a tremendous career as a Clone.

We had Lindsey Wilson before Medders, and we were all wondering who would replace her...Fennley does a great job of replacing the point...I'm not worried in the least!

I think we will miss Denae Stuckey as well. She is a 5'8" Dennis Rodman. She rebounds like crazy for one of the shortest on the court. She scraps and fights for the ball. steals, and throw in some assists. She doesn't score much but she does everything else to help this team succeed.

We will miss her, although I can see somebody like Jessica Schroll sliding into that role next year. Everything flows through Lacey right now, she is the crucial one to replace.

This. We really have had a great run on getting outstanding players at the point under BF. Obviously this staff has an eye for talent and it is rare that they ever miss.
