    Nebraska Predictions

I'm calling the upset. Nebraska hasn't been playing well as of late and ISU has been on fire. Defensively we were able to shut them down last time, now that the 3's are dropping we have a legit shot. I just wish this was in Ames.

    ISU 66
    NU 62

    Re: Nebraska Predictions

I'm actually feeling the upset too. The game in Ames was very early in the conference season and now they'll be looking to prove how improved they are. The wins against the ranked southern teams were not flukes.

Has ISU lost in any sport in Lincoln this year? If not, BF will not be the first coach to do it...

3's go in, we win (9 or 10 of them).

If not, we lose by 12.

Not I, it is much more fun to look at the expressions on Nebraska Fan's faces when they lose!

(sorry, can't find PIC from football game)

No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

    Re: Nebraska Predictions

I'd like to see this on the Betting Board at least a couple of hours before tip-off. Tough time schedule tomorrow - might ask them to hold the tip-off 'til we get there; or, maybe they can fit in an Ash Wednesday service at half-time.

    Re: Nebraska Predictions

It really wouldn't surprise me to see Iowa State beat Nebraska. Sure the game is in Lincoln and Nebraska will probably draw 12-13,000 for the game, but I watched the last couple of Nebraska games on television (I've never been a Nebraska womens basketball fan...just was curious to see what they looked like) and honestly, my wife would attest to the fact that I turned both of them off. Obviously, the won them both, but I told my wife that I have never seen a top-5 team in the country that shot as poorly as they did. I don't know if that was indicitive of the way they shot the entire game in both instances, but the portions I watched were painful to watch.

The way Iowa State played against Baylor, I think they are peaking at the right time and may be the best team in the conference right now. I don't think Nebraska really has anything that can match up against Iowa State's two big girls and if they let Lacey get on a roll, it could be a long night for them.

The question is, do they lose every time you pick them to lose

At NU, big crowd expected..I say ISU by 4. Aus takes over the game towards the end and carries us to victory.

Nebraska was doing better earlier this season, but they have just squeaked by the past two games against two of the worst teams in the Big12. Granted Kansas is a bubble team, but Missouri? Missouri put more points on the board against Nebraska than it did against it's previous two opponents combined, one of which is ISU.

ISU is playing at their best right now, Nebraska is playing at their worst. My big concern is that ISU has a tendency of dropping a game after a big victory (KState comes to mind).
