Sweet Lou will be blowing off some steam sooner than later if we (the Cubs) don't play better than today's game.

    Re: Simple baseball poll

I went with Piniella, but I would've voted for Wood and Prior too if I could've. Regardless of when they happen, both will happen; that's a given.

BTW dave, nice avatar...I think I can figure out which one you vote for

Pinnella's steam blowing might just be what the cubs need. Anybody remember Leyland's early rant last year?

I don't care what happens as long as Bonds does NOT get that record. I can't think of a worse person in sports today.

What did he expect. It's the C ubs. Thjey do not want to zip ahead, they like to chase the leaders. The n ew billionaire owner Zell may start to kick butt since he wants a return.

    Re: Simple baseball poll

Prior and Wood done for the year got my vote, but man, if the Cubs don't play better than yesterday, it could get rather interesting on Chicago's north side.

    Re: Simple baseball poll

I went with Pinnella because I heard quotes this morning where he was calling Zambrano on the carpet for not pitching well already.

Things are going to be a little different this year, with a coach that makes them earn the big money they are paid instead of chewing on toothpicks!

Glavine will win 300. Only needs 9 more and with that offense he can give up 6 runs a game and still win.

Agreed. Big Z needs to step it up. It's good to know someone pushing him to earn the money.

    Re: Simple baseball poll

Hate to say it, but I think Bondsy boy is going to get his HR record this year. 1/2 a month into the season and he just needs 18 more. I am rooting for him, if nothing else, it will something exciting this summer to watch
