Steven Spielberg/George Lucas or James Cameron

Back to the Future is on right now. Great movie. Star Wars (the first 3 anyway) and Indiana Jones are two of my favorite franchises. One would think I would be in the SS/GL corner, but I'm not too sure JC isn't better (Terminator I and II, Titanic, Avatar...just off the top)...

As long as george lucas stays away from the dialog, him and spielberg are great, id prefer their movies to cameron, other than T2 which would be right up there.

Re: Steven Spielberg/George Lucas or James Cameron

Are you talking directing, writing, producing, or all three.

If you are talking about directing, then Steven Spielberg wins by a landslide.
George Lucas didn't even direct all of the Star Wars Films, and Cameron has directed some really big hits, but fewer than Spielberg.

For writing, Lucas has written Star Wars, Star Wars, Star Wars, with a little Indiana Jones and American Graffiti mixed in. Cameron has written the most stuff, and Spielberg has written very little comparitively.

And from a producer standpoint, Speilberg also wins by a landslide, with far more works to his credit than Cameron. Lucas has a lot of producer credits behind his name as well, but the vast majority are for Star Wars related productions.
