I don't know what I want to do when I grow up

I am 32. Married, great wife who I love to death, good job, house, cars, etc, etc etc. Yet, I still don't necessarily feel like I know what my ultimate calling in life is going to be, career wise.

Am I the only one in this boat? I feel like I am spinning my wheels. I really want to do something I am passionate about, but I don't know what that is yet.

Sorry for the sappy-***ed post, but I wanted some other perspectives.

    Thanks

I'm about to be 31 and am waiting to grow up and find what I want to do. I just know I'm not doing it right now.

I know what I want to do, but a whole lot of things have to happen to make that reality.

But right now, I'd say it's clear to me that I'm not doing it.

This is Friday afternoon. Have you been imbibing?

I think sometimes we're waiting for a thunderbolt and lightning strike, and we don't recognize the gentle rain that's been here all along.

BTW, I'm still wondering. And you were born after I graduated from high school. So you might have a lot more thinking to do.

I did have on beer at lunch today, but other than that, I am sober as a judge.

A conservative judge or a liberal judge?

You know, maybe if you took words from these replies and set them to music, you could create a top ten tune. And then you could have an audio signature.

Re: I don't know what I want to do when I grow up

Our high school guidance counselor used to ask us what you'd do if you had a million dollars and you didn't have to work. And invariably what you'd say was supposed to be your career. So, if you wanted to fix old cars then you're supposed to be an auto mechanic.
I never had an answer. I guess that's why I'm working at Initech.

No, you're working at Initech because that question is ******** to begin with. If everyone listened to her, there'd be no janitors, because no one would clean **** up if they had a million dollars.
