Re: Luge Competitor Killed In Crash During Practice

Very sad. It sounds like this track has been plagued with crashes during the practices. Would they shut it down in the interest of safety?

I can't imagine flying downhill at 90 mph a couple inches off the ground on a sled.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Yeah lets cancel the whole Olympics while were at it, because a skier, bob sledder or figure skater might get hurt to.

I thought the same thing, but I think that's his hair cut. It sounds like there have been a lot of close calls the past few days.

Another article. The picutre is a little disturbing.

I guess the videos are on youtube already for those interested.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

Yeah looks like he's flying down the track and then hits a side wall towards the end which throws him out the other side straight into a post.

Wow...unbelievable. Caught it by accident. They're most definitely going to have to put some sort of protection in that area. They come around the corner and if they were to come out on either side, there are poles, supports, barriers everywhere. Definitely do not watch.

You're going 90 mph on a sled. What do you expect, that is extreme.

    Very sad though.
