I have essentially written those Top 15 teams off as losses. Especially the games at Texas and Oklahoma. Iowa again will be a toss up.

If we do what we did in 2009 and win the games we are supposed to (NIU, UNI, CU, etc) we will set ourselves up to steal the fringe games (KU, KSU) and make a bowl game.

It's the falling on our face in the games we are supposed to win in the Chizik and McCarney years that kept the program from reaching another level.

Yeah I'm with you on counting the top 15 games as losses but I would like to see us keep it close with Iowa and Nebraska. That will show strides in our program that we're not just going to go down without a fight and teams can't just breeze through us.

I think we can win 2 of those Top 15 games. However don't confuse me saying "can" with "will".

In alot of Iowa's games last year, the other team had a great shot to win. We should lose it, but if we can hang onto the ball, you never know.

Nebraska still won't have an offense, they lose Suh (who singlehandedly kept them in the game against us), and it's in Ames.

I'm with you but I don't see KU as a fringe game. I expect us to win this one. I like our chances vs. KSU too.

    Bolded is right on.

EDIT: I just noticed we play KU after the fantastic four; that could make this game into a fringe game. I still expect a win.

KU and KSU are fringe games as in we are pretty evenly matched and the games can go either way.

We return the second fewest starters of anyone in the league (ahead of OSU) so there will be kinks to work out. Especially on defense.

True, which is why I think the schedule might be a blessing with regard to the KU game. If we manage to stay healthy after that four game gauntlet we will have an "educated" team playing KU in Ames and the guys who did start in the KU game last year are going to want some get back. Plus, who knows what TG is going to be like in his first year, my guess is he doesn't match CPR's first year success.

I think we stand a better chance of beating Iowa than Nebraska. Some may find that incredibly hard to believe but I think Nebraska is a damn good team.

Hell yeah, we can beat Iowa. That is rivalry game week and all rankings are thrown out the window. Stanzi can be stuffed and chased out of the pocket.

It is also early in the year and we can pump up our expectations.

I think we will beat one top 15 team next year. I also think we will lose to a bad team. I would love to trade a big win for a bad loss.

I seriously can not wait until the season starts.

I am scared crapless that we are setting ourselves up for dissapointment, but I cant help it.

My main hope is to at least get to 6-6. Anything else is just gravy.

I'm really intrigued by CU. last year they showed flashes of greatness in some games (UT comes to mind). Will they bounce back? Will they implode? I can't wait to see what happens...
