It's gotta be either of the two you said, I'd hafta say Nebraska bcuz it was an away game, not neutral and they play in a much tougher conf than SLU. In retrospect, very sad.

After some of the embarassing past performances against Drake I'd have to say I felt the best after that win.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

    Ouch. There's always next year.

Houston maybe? The same Houston team that was recently defeated at home by Larry Eustachy and he didn't need overtime to do it.

We've had like 1 good win in the last 3 years. Purdue in Vegas.

If style points count I will go Drake as that game was the high point of the season.

The Nebraska win was nice but it was obvious at the time it was a battle for the basement.

I think was Iowa. This season has been so bad I am just glad we beat them. What could possibly be a worse loss than getting beat by the worst Iowa team in decades at Hilton in what has turned out to be one of the most dissapointing years in memory for us.

Wow such a sad state of affairs this program has reached. The best wins are Saint Louis on a neutral site and Nebraska at their place while they're 1-7 in the Big 12.

Re: Best win of the year so far??

As others have stated, it's a bummer that the "big win" of the season might involve Nebraska. That'd have to be the one, though, since it was a Big 12 road game.

I'd have to say crushing Drake in DM was a little satisfying, since it was the biggest win there since the 91-92 season, and ISU had won there, what, four times in the last 15 years?

What's even more humbling, though, is it's hard to even come up with the biggest "near-miss" games. Losing fairly close to Texas at home seems almost like a bad loss at this point. A win over UNI would have been at least something. Even picking up a win at OU, at Tech, or vs. KSU might've been nice. Other than that, we have crushing defeats to strong teams (Duke, Cal, KU) and

I can name only a single big win in the last 4.7 seasons ... Purdue on a neutral floor, 2007 even though it was only a "big win" after Purdue got it rolling late in the season. At the time the game was played, it wasn't that big of a deal. Perhaps the win over Colorado in 2006 qualifies, but that was at home.

    Geesh.

Listening to Miller & Deace this morning...Jon said that McDermott has beat 2 NCAA tournament teams in almost 4 years. Two. That is pathetic. So you are going to have a hard time picking out a "signature" win since we don't really have any in 4 years.

the North Dakota State win was pretty impressive, they have almost won ten games, honestly I think the best team we have beaten has been Colorado

I would have to say Saint Louis... They beat Nebraska earlier in the year 69-55 (in Saint Louis) Plus they have Rick Majerus as their coach.
