NCAA tickets - handicapped seating at Hilton

So, which is the best way to get better seats for the NCAA games in Ames? Through the ISU ticket office, or other site? Its best for me to pick my seats out since I will be taking my mother who will most likely be using a wheelchair for getting to and from. She can walk short distances/do a copule stairs, but that is about it. Are handicapped seats hard to get at Hilton?

I don't think it matters, unless you can find someone selling tickets they already have. I called the ticket office and they said they only have seats in the corners on the 1st level otherwise seats on the 2nd level. I am not familiar with handicap seating to help you with that question.

I don't know if it is still this way, but the handicapped seating in Hilton used to be in the four corners, right behind the parquet sections. There was always talk of putting some handicapped seating on the floor level, but there was concern about getting wheelchairs off the floor in the event of an actual emergency....so not sure what ended up happening there. But they should not be hard to get.....just call the ticket office.

I know that assisted living places bring a number of handicapped people in wheelchairs to each game; they are dropped off at the west end, I believe, and go upstairs in an elevator. Each wheelchair person must be accompanied by a helper--no problem in your case since you would be with your mother. The Northcrest Retirement people told me that you can buy regular general admission tickets for this purpose, but I have no further info, and I don't know what other problems there may be. If the ticket office does not help you with your questions, maybe Northcrest could.

Wheelchair seating is still on the 4 corners behind the parquet sections (I use a wheelchair and have men's season tickets) you should not have troublr getting them if you don't wait till the last minute. Ordered mine in Nov and was told I may get the same seats as my regular tickets. I would call soon. Reply or PM me if I can be of more help!!!
