    We OUTREBOUNDED K-State

WOW...is all I can say to that. Just shows the effort was there. We have really improved on the rebounding recently.

I know most will say Whoopie, but never in my wildest dreams did I see us outrebounding K-State.

There are certainly some positives to take out of yesterday's game. Brackins is starting to really assert himself. Colvin is having more positive moments. The team as a whole is playing with more intensity and offensive movement. They need to take that intensity into every game, not just against ranked opponents.

Agreed. Definitely can't blame that game on rebounding or free throws, which have been two constants thoughout this season. You would think eventually this would get us over the hump and actually win a couple games. Honestly, for all the criticism of Mac, this team looks like it has improved a little from earlier in the season. Obviously some of that is on the players, too, to actually try, considering they're human beings and can make their own decisions.

I haven't seen a box score, but Hamilton seemed assert himself better. He does need to slam it or go stronger to the hoop at times.

Ham getting his 4th right away to start the 2nd half was a killer.

That rebounding statistic definitely helps to reaffirm my believe that the effort was there with our guys. ******* Clemente.

I agree, he had a great first half. He was really after it at times.

In fact, the whole team was hustling, diving after loose balls and fighting for rebounds. The second half was the polar opposite. We were standing around, handing them turnovers and watching the KSU transition game turn our lead into a massive deficit. I don't know if there was Valium in our Gatorade or what, but they came out with fire in the second half and it was the difference in the game.

Colvin needs to be starting. He is reeeeally good. Better than DG imo.

    Re: We OUTREBOUNDED K-State

Clemente killed us.... and we just do not have the depth to hang in the big 12... K-State just kept running guys off the bench... 8 or 9 deep... and didn't lose much... we looked tired at the end of the game.. we gave it all we had, and it wasn't good enough.

    Re: We OUTREBOUNDED K-State

DG does need to step up on running the offense. He needs to force the issue more then Colvin can come in to complement him. He needs to do that or he will not be the starter. Ham is working out great. SC should have a better week including Dendy. We need to become more desperate sooner than the last three minutes of a game. Coach's fault. Hoping that Buckley improves.

Bottom line is we need to make some three pointers earlier in the game. That is currently our biggest weakness.

    Re: We OUTREBOUNDED K-State

I don't know how anybody could have a problem with the effort yesterday. I never leave happy after a loss but I wasn't sad after that game yesterday. Hit a few more threes in the course of the whole game and it looks different.

Until the end of the season that's all I really need, just play hard. Good things can happen then. Especially toward the end we'll probably be playing for pride so I hope the guys can remember the fans appreciating their effort after a game like this.

There was probably 50-100 people standing and clapping in my section when the team exited the floor yesterday and usually it's empty with 2 minutes left.

    Bump

Rebounding has been getting better. I hope we see our defense improve a little more too.

    Re: We OUTREBOUNDED K-State

This teams stats dont look half bad. The problem is this team plays a solid 35 mins and 5 mins of complete crap where they lose the game. Ever since Mac had been at ISU that has been the biggest issue facing his teams.
