Shouldn't be a surprise. For my sake, I hope he's back. For his sake, I hope he goes.

He wasn't returning unless he suffered a serious injury and was forced too. He's gone and rightfully so. We were lucky as fans to have him this year.

I'd be more surprised if he actually came back.

He gave up a lot to come back which I know he has actually said before. There is no way possible he comes back, even if he is a second round pick.

    Re: McDermott Senses Brackins' Leave

I think he is gone as long as the Draft Advisors tell him he will for sure be drafted. There have been some thing on him especially one article that states that that particular GM wouldn't draft him because he lacks the makeup to play the 3 or 4. He is a tweener. I think he will be drafted but I think it is second round by a team looking to take a chance. I would say it is about 95% that he is gone. I hope he does well when he does go.

Craig has been the face of the program the last couple years, he has gotten the Iowa State University a lot of notoriety and press. He has handle himself like a true gentleman, student, team player. I wish him the best and thank him for all he has done. I like his current focus, dedication and never give up attitude.

Good Luck to Craig, whatever his decision.

I disagree. If he's a 2nd round pick, he has no reason to go early. 2nd rounders aren't guaranteed anything. Yeah, he'd be a year older, but he has plenty to work on. If he could become a more consistent rebounder, and stronger in the post, he'd have a good chance to still be a fairly high 1st round pick. Which means guaranteed money.

I'd say it'd be worth it to get a year older and stronger, than it would be to just take a flying leap. I'm sure Craig will make the decision that best suits him. And I also believe he knows that being assured that he will be a 2nd round pick will not best suit him...

Makes sense to me, just happy he chose ISU and has been such a great ambassador for us. I would take one like him every 3 years-goes without saying I know.

I thought Craig was a bit older then the standard junior, am I wrong? You want to get in while you are as young as possible.
