    How Big

If we are able to pull the upset, today how big of a win of should we consider it? It will obviously be our best win of the year, but would it be considered a huge win?

    Re: How Big

Yes. Very huge. Could spark the team for the rest of the year. Every win from here on out is huge

    Re: How Big

It would be huge. But it would not change my opinion about anything. We're not at the point where we're simply playing for pride. But we are close.

    Re: How Big

It would be big - but I think we are just in too deep for it to mean very much overall for the season.

It may mean a great deal for the players and fans alike though if they can find away to pull this off.

It would be the biggest of Mac's career. I don't know if it would match the football team's victory in Lincoln, but it would be close.

    Re: How Big

Big win right now. Honestly, no one knows the impact that it has for a much longer time.

People get too impatient trying to know the impact of an event at the exact time it happens. Nobody really knows for a long time.

No one knew that Barry Stevens shot vs. Missouri would start the long run of Hilton Magic that we enjoyed, but it did. It took years before anyone knew what he had really started.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.
Make this one for the ages!

If we can win today that puts us in a great situation to finish 8-8 with a win at Colorado or Missouri. That, with a win over a top 10 team (today) and a first round Big12 tournament win would put us in a great spot for the tournament. If we lose today, I think we're probably looking at the NIT unless we can get wins at Missouri, Colorado, and KState. Of course, we still would need to take care of business at home from there on out for that to be a possibility.

    Re: How Big

It would be a huge win. Unfortunately it would highlight the uncoached potential of this team which as a team should have been functioning better all season. I don't see a win-win situation unless the team makes a trend out of a great victory. Flashes of greatness to me just further highlights the problems with leadership and coaching.

    Re: How Big

It won't happen, but if it did, it would be pretty big. I would say it could provide momentum going forward, but we've seen what we thought was momentum turn into losses that shouldn't have happened before under McD.

    Re: How Big

I'm not counting on it at this point, but yes, it'd be pretty big. In the context of GMac's era, it'd be monumental.

Not sure about big picture — i.e., KSU could end up dropping off the map by tournament time, which would deflate its significance — but there's only one way to assess it, for what it is at the moment.

I gotta say, too, I really hate losing to KSU, especially in Ames. I have a feeling KSU's program will implode at some point; not sure when.

    Re: How Big

Any win at this point is a big win. This one would be pretty big, but I don't know that it would propel us to some extended winning streak. It would definitely be McD's biggest win during his tenure.
