4 Players Watching Intramural Games at Beyer

Yesterday Gilstrap, Dendy, Colvin, and Oliver showed up at Beyer hall at 11pm and were watching the intramural games going on. I was tempted to show Laron how easy free throws are, but decided against it being that he could probably eat me. But it was good to see Colvin hanging with other guys from the team. Hopefully its a sign that all the childish not -getting -along stuff is over.

Glad to know that you can shoot better than him with thousands of people dissecting your every move on the court. That's why you were recruited to play basketball at Iowa State... Oh wait...

I shot 80% in high school. I am confident I wouldn't crack 60% at Hilton.

Honestly I thought that this thread was going to be bashing them for being there instead of in the gym or something. I like to hear that those guys were together. Are they all roomates since they are all new this year?

I don't know about the rest of them, but I'm pretty sure Gilstrap lives with his (pregnant?) girlfriend and kid...

He's still got a ways to go to catch Fizer. Fizer had several more kids AND girlfriends.

I hope he didn't call 311 a "rap show"... And didn't Peoples close several years ago?

There is a People's on Court Avenue in Des Moines (typically called 'People's Court'). It is probably the top concert bar in the state, in terms of volume and quality of acts they attract.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Glad to hear they got a good nights sleep.

It becomes more and more obvious each day that we, the fans, take sports more seriously than the players are.
