Dr. Richard Glowacki - West Des Moinese | Iowa Clinic

This Doc was good. Very little pain period and no issues

    It cost me about $1100.

$600-$1000 if not covered by insurance.

For you? No. You'd probably get a medal for drying that gene pool.

My cousin got it done and said the key is to get on the schedule right before March Madness....he said his doctor books up quickly then, but it's perfect to get to sit around all day and ice the junk and watch basketball.

Re: Those that have had a Vasectomy

Ok, go ahead and laugh. In 1976 my wife was seven months pregnant. We were broke. The Dr. asked what my insurance would pay. When I told him $75, he informed me that was exactly what he charged. I never could tell any difference after the fact. It definitely has taken the worry out of being close. Do make sure and sit on the frozen peas for a couple of days however.

I waited until my deductable hit, and it was one of the best things I could have done. Many good points about resting, no matter how you feel. And, take advantage of the sympathy!

I would also recommend a urologist. I used Dr. Milleman from the McFarland Clinic in Ames last fall. Great job, and I am free and clear.

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but don't be suprised by the myriad of coloring that goes on for the week or so after this. That was the craziest part--I'm glad someone warned me about it or I would have been freaked out!

Great, simple, easy birth control option that I'd recommend to anyone.

No. You will never regret it.

Someday you might wish you had children, but that feeling will go away pretty quickly.

Re: Those that have had a Vasectomy

True story ----four of us decided we would get it done. Three of us had it done in about a years time, all three no problems. We assured and reassured him that it wasn't a big deal. Frozen vegetable taking a sample the whole ball of wax. The fourth, reluctant as hw was, waited two years and finally got it done. One of then swelled up the size of a softball, we call him boarnut now.

I think in your case you should wait until you are sexually active.

Just do what I did, have your wife get a hysterectomy instead. She's also no longer crazy once a month.

I had mine to save money on rubbers. I should hit the break-even point sometime in 2427.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
