    clifford morgan a lb

    C.J. Morgan - Yahoo! Sports
sorry if this has been posted already, but according to his rivals profile, they now list him as an outside lb.

nice to have versatility-i think he played wr/db in hs, hope he transitions well to olb for us-maybe another hybrid type player?

    Re: clifford morgan a lb

From what I understand is that he asked if he could move up to the lb spot

    Re: clifford morgan a lb

He was listed as DB/LB on the cyclones.com signing day page yesterday.

I think he's slated for the hybrid position, he should have the size and speed for it.

    Re: clifford morgan a lb

A former player here started a thread about seeing him in the airport and said he is all of 6'3"-6'4" range. Nice to have a LB with some size.

    Re: clifford morgan a lb

I see him as a true linebacker with Mattison going to that hybrid spot. Of course, if needed Morgan could move over but with the size he could have I want him to be a pure linebacker.

    Re: clifford morgan a lb

Like ripvdub said, when i talked to him at the airport last Monday I thought he was bigger than what rivals/scout had posted and thought he would be moved to an outside backer. He looked about 6'3" - 6'4" and had a good frame that could add some solid weight while keeping the speed he has.

I'm excited about this kid, I think he could be one of the "under the radar" guys that turns into something great.

You see him differently than the coaching staff does, then, because in the recruiting day videoes, they specifically mentioned him as a LB who could stay on the field in passing downs.

So was Jesse Smith. We can't just put everyone at the hybrid spot. If Morgan is the than Mattison will either be at safety or sideline. I don't see him having the body type to put on a bunch of weight to be a true LB.
