Taggart really? He did so much after ISU.

This is what makes it even worse in my eyes. We cant even make the NIT with that level of talent?!?

Re: A little coolaid for our weary hearts.

Taggart started a lot for teams that were ranked in the top 10 much of the time (might have even reached number 1) and I believe made a couple of deep runs into the NCAA tournament. I'd say that's doing something after ISU. Do you think he'd have had that much fun playing for Mac's teams? And Morgan showed emotion more often than the confrontation with GMac at UNI. I was close enough to see how emotional he was on senior days, especially when he hugged Sullivan and John Neal. You could tell those kids really loved him.

Re: A little coolaid for our weary hearts.

I know I'm not a regular and neither have I read all the lengthy posts.

My take: One more year ... if there's not noticeable improvement, no excuses, let Mac go and start over. This is tiresome.

added: One can only wonder how much Ben Jacobsen may have been behind Mac's success at UNI.

st8cydr-Unfortuantely Morgan isn't coaching now so we can no longer have winning seasons, top ten wins, and post season wins. Sucks doesn't it?

Baylor had 8 players over 13 minutes.
    ISU had only 6.

But obviously his skill set is in high demand for ....oh wait, satellite dishes. Surely if he was as good of a coach as some remember him on here he would have picked up another gig somewhere...anywhere...wouldn't he?

Re: A little coolaid for our weary hearts.

st8cydr- All I know is Morgan won a conference title at LBS and he was fairly successful at ISU, saving our program after the LE fiasco. He's a nice guy but his p.r skills aren't great, so maybe he doesn't interview well, and maybe he isn't what some big donors want. He's also almost 60. Imo he was vastly underappreciated and I sure miss the many big wins he gave us and the post season action.
