Lisa Koll T&F athlete of the week

As a former track and field *cough* star *cough, cough*, I find this pretty impressive.

Koll Honored by Big 12 - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

Despite many of our struggles, it is great to consistently see All Big 12 performances out of our athletes in all sports.

Nice, always good to see ISU(and FDSH) represent well.

"I'm not a miler, so I guess it was surprising to go out and runs as well as I did," Koll said.

The Fort Dodge native currently ranks second collegiately in the mile.

    Huh?

All truisms are false. All of them.

She does not normally run the mile (usually 3,000 and 5,000 meters), but her time is the second best this year. That is what I found so impressive!

Edit: Oh, I see the typo now. Not a good image...
