Applying for Freddy Court housing for next year

I have multiple questionson on this topic.
First off, when does registration for a room open up? I heard its tomorrow at 7:00AM but I'm not sure.
Secondly, How does the whole thing work with signing up for roommates or random roommates?
And last but not least, I'm going to be a sophomore and I was wandering if I'm going to get a room if I don't sign up for a roommate... random roommate?
Just remembered, I have a friend who may or may not go to isu next year... can I sign him up as my roommate some how?
Hope someone can answer these questions. If you do thank you.

just dont even try that **** gets crazy. If you dont have roommates most likely other people will join the one you're in because its just you and the will spam you with emails telling you to get out so one of their friends can get in. Just find somewhere off campus, its much cheaper and better choices of apartments

Agree. Freddy is the biggest cash scam at the University. Do yourself a favor and move off campus.

freddy court eh? hope you like non english speaking asian roomates! my advice, get a 1 bedroom apt somewhere around campustown, you can find places under $500 a month and it would be worth the extra walk to campus

Is that pretty common? Me and 3 friends had planned on going to freddy next year but now it's looking like it'll be just me and one other guy, but we'd still do the 4 bedroom ones.

I agree, I would move off campus, but if you really want Freddie just get in. Worry about moving around later. It's easy after you have a spot somewhere, but they fill up fast.

I lived in Freddy for a year and wish I could take it back.

See if my roommate (who I lived with at Freddy) comes in and comments about our AWESOME roommate we had each semester.

If you can fill all four spots with people you like... Freddy can be a nice place to live. If you only have two or three people - LOOK OUT. I live there now with two of my friends and a random fourth roommate. Random roommate hasn't showered in five days.

So how bad of a idea is it to have random roommates living with you at freddy?

It is night and day. I moved in with three buddies and it was great. I had another friend that had people graduate and get replaced with randoms and it was a nightmare. I loved Freddy, but I would caution you to only do it if you can fill the room.

Re: Applying for Freddy Court housing for next year

Ya you really never know out there. My experience wasn't all too bad, but I know my sister had some pretty "awesome" roommates the two years she lived there. I went in with one friend as a junior and ended up with a guy from Mexico who spoke really good english and then an american who never talked and stayed in his room. Both guys left at semester because the mexican was just a study abroad student and the other guy was weird. They were replaced by a good guy from Des Moines who had transferred in and a Korean who did not speak much english. So it really is a mixed bag, but overall my experience that year wasn't bad.

My second year up there I lived with three guys I already knew and then one of them graduated and they didn't replace him, so that was pretty damn awesome!!

Did you break into the spare room after they locked it? We always joked we were going to kick one of our roomates out and turn their room into a ball pit.
