    Cyclone Classics DVDs

I was just watching the Greg McDermott show and saw an ad for the Cyclone Classics DVD Collection. It said to go to the DVD store on cyclones.com for classics avalible now but there on none on there, only the 100 year DVDs for basketball and football "season tickets". Does anyone have any insight on why they are advertising this when there is nothing there or can i just not find the DVDs i was looking for?

I purchases the 1992 Nebraska and 1998 Iowa games from the company. It's B&G Productions, and they're located on Main St in Ames. They sometimes keep unusual hours and it was a little difficult getting ahold of them, but they do great work, and they're great guys. I probably talked football with the guy for a good 20 minutes when I picked up my dvds.

I don't think they offer videos anymore since it was taken over by the AD. I tried about a year or so ago and I believe that is what they told me. I'd have the same general questions as the OP.

Can anyone confirm this? I have always meant to get a couple of the most memorable games from my undergrad days on dvd, but never got around to it.

    Re: Cyclone Classics DVDs

Call B&G productions as Al noted and double check. I'm pretty certain this is the case because if you go to their website they no longer have their ISU video library up.

    Re: Cyclone Classics DVDs

Dang. I know I called them at some point awhile back and was told it was all through the ISU AD. And they used to have all of the available videos up online.

It's a conspiracy by the AD. They want you to forget that the ISU basketball program ever had any "classic" games. That way, the fact that we haven't beaten a ranked team in 8,000 years doesn't seem as bad.

    Re: Cyclone Classics DVDs

I just contacted B&G Productions about this. Actually, they do still have the videos. All video rights now go through Learfield Sports and Cyclone Sports Properites. So, they are in the process of re-working and updating the dvds with new special features, updated copyright information and packaging. Only some of the videos are listed on cyclones.com...but they have many others that are available and will be listed by this summer. It's just a very busy time for them right now during Cyclone Basketball since they produce coaches shows for the men's and women's teams. They are in and out of the office a lot on projects If any questions, call them at 515-232-5358.
